Its end-to-end mobile app and website empowers content creators 8-80 years old to MAKE both podcasts and money through in-app purchases.  Its intuitive LISTEN mode enables bookmarking, highlighting, sorting and sharing those curations. SPEAK.STUDIO has generated more than $35K in ad revenue via its 2021 Vogue’s Best Podcast Award (We Have Note) along with revenue from clients including Meta Inc. and Disney.

    • We’ve refined/evolved our strategy around this next funding push to include more non-dilutive funding. Based on gener8tor lunch and learn AWS accelerator and gBETA GAN invitation, we’ve added this to our strategy.  Big thanks to Nick Mischler for surfacing this, and many other incredibly helpful POVs.

    • SYSTEM: We’re refining client notes and feedback mechanism for audio and video.

  • LOWLIGHTS:

    • Sponsorship deal with Red Bay Coffee for All American delayed 7-12 days. That’s a short term loss, but the opportunity I saw/took was to engage sponsor in conversation about a deeper creative collaboration that includes, website takeover, joint company social channel collaboration on original content. Additionally, owner of company is considering sponsorship of a second show.

We’re using this project as a pilot system for our limited-run podcast series ad revenue structure ( Pre, mid, and post roll sponsorships and  Premier Sponsor(owns entire show). This is for a 6 episode limited run show and Red Bay Coffee fits the All American brand perfectly.

  • Kudos:

    • Mentors Al Cornish, Nick Mischler,  Jan Oneill, and  Marta Karlov, were just fantastic in the mentor swarm. I’m very excited about the “what” and the “why” of what Al is building/working on and have hopes to learn more and explore collaborations. Had the pleasure of meeting with Nick before mentor swarm to continue, what I hope is a long relationship. We jumped on a quick 15 minute post-mentor swarm call and went deep. Jan Oneill had great insights into, among other things, Angel v. VC. Thrilled to continue the conversation with her. Marta had great insight into systems and culture at the perfect time in the life of SPEAK.

  • I received fantastic help and invaluable insights from Mfoniso Ekong on the executive summary. It has come such a long way with his and Molly Dill, and Nichole’s expertise!

  • Travis Stegemoller had great legal advice and POV. I’ve already shard with team and will follow up on some important c-corp questions.

  • Kudos:

    • Molly Dill came with the great insights,  kind/constructive POV, and ye olde red marker(which I love) on SPEAK’s Executive Summary. She helped clarify and elevate our overview.  Am thrilled, excited and very grateful for her time, talents and work. (See new and improved e.s.  overview above). #writingisrewriting #useofironichashtagsforhumor

    • Had a great Zoommeeting with Maggie Blickerman @gener8tor to explore possible synergy between gener8tor OnRamp + SPEAK.LIVE. Second meeting with Maggie and team incipient. Super excited! Thanks again Torian B and Nichole Crust for insight and intro.

    • Excited to have spoken with mentors at this week’s gBeta Mentor Swarm. A cluster of good ideas came out of that, and sincerely appreciative of all mentors including IP attorney and entrepreneur Jeff Glazer, who had great insights about the NFT of it all; Business Coach Ellie Millam, who’s “quick insights” (that I’’m now coining “sprintsights”...yeah, it’s a stretch) were exciting and “good space creating”. Look forward to connecting with founder of AtlusLearn network Dan Guerra Jr. in the coming days. .

    • Immediately actionable mentor moves made with serial founder Noon Eggenberger, who had incredibly good insights and enthusiasm about the NFT of our business (and flagged that we didn’t include that little tidbit into our “bio), and the openness to continuing the conversation. Very much looking forward to connecting with Noon and his mental health CRM startup, that’s much needed in the world. Loved speaking with Salli Martyniak.  Her enthusiasm for SPEAK was only outweighed by her grace in offering to connect us to folks who might or might not want to invest. (I tend to be very conservative about sharing, let alone entertaining these kinds of exciting things until they’re real, but sharing here as I heard that’s what we’re supposed to do.) More on this soon, maybe.
