Jamie and Molly welcome another special guest! This week they talk with local celebrity Ann Garvin. Ann is the author of On Maggie’s Watch, The Dog Year, I Like You Just Fine When You’re Not Around, I Thought You Said This Would Work, There’s No Coming Back From This, and Bummer Camp which is set to release on September 1st, 2024 and is now available for pre-order. Ann is also the founder of Tall Poppy Writers which is an organization dedicated to supporting the work of female authors, connecting directly with readers, and giving back to the community in support of literacy.
As a life-long observer and teacher, Ann talks about how her journey has led her to writing. And how her frustration with ageism led her to pen the viral essay Good For Me published with Madison Magazine and the New York Times article that followed on Modern Love.
